Hope Cirencester’s Summer Playscheme 2026 took place at St Lawrence Church Centre this month, bringingfun, creativity, and community to children and families throughout the summer holidays.
The playscheme offered a lively mix of activities that kept children engaged and smiling, including:
Arts and crafts sessions that filled the centre with colour
Music, and storytelling that encouraged imagination
Indoor and outdoor games enjoyed by children of all ages
Quiet corners for reading, puzzles, and relaxed play
Plenty of opportunities to make new friends in a warm, supportive environment
Our volunteers and staff created a safe, welcoming space where every child could thrive.
We even wrote our own song! Check out the video:
Community impactThe playscheme welcomed families from across Cirencester, providing accessible holiday support and a positive environment for children to spend their summer days. Feedback from parents and carers highlighted how valuable the programme was for both children’s wellbeing and family routines.
All sessions were delivered by trained volunteers with enhanced DBS checks, following Hope Cirencester’s safeguarding policies. The sign‑in system ensured a smooth and secure experience for families.
