We will do all we can to ensure that our activities offer the safest places for children and vulnerable people.
Hope Cirencester is committed to having safeguards and measures in place to reduce the likelihood of abuse taking place within the services it offers and is committed to ensuring that all those involved with Hope Cirencester feel safe and be treated with respect.
Our approach, in line with the Church of England's approach, is built on five foundations and six overarching commitments. These include promoting a safer environment and culture, safely recruiting and supporting those with responsibilities for children and vulnerable adults, responding promptly to concerns, and providing pastoral care for both victims and those accused of abuse, while managing risks posed by individuals who may be dangerous. Our policies emphasise that everyone involved in Hope Cirencester has a role in safeguarding.
If anyone witnesses, discloses or experiences abuse, we are committed to ensuring it will be dealt with in a timely and effective manner and in ways which are proportionate to the issues.
Safeguarding is integral to everything we do – it’s not an ‘add-on issue."
